Almighty God
You show mercy on those who wait upon you,
And you are always near to those who seek you.
Be the kindly guide of their steps,
Be the aid of pilgrims walking to Compostela,
Be their shade in the heat during the day,
Be their light in the darkness during the night,
Be their companion on the Way,
So that they will reach St. James’ sepulchre, And feel your peace and hope.
